Care
Upcycled Tumbler: Dishwasher safe with gentle detergent.
Bioplastic Lid & Grid: Handwash with a mild scrubber and standard dishwashing liquid. Allow to air dry.
Preparation for Sprouts
- Prepare the seeds: Add 2-3 tablespoons of seeds to the upcycled sprouting jar and cover with a bioplastic lid. Rinse well with water, draining excess water by tilting the jar while holding the lid to prevent spillage.
- Soak the seeds: Fill about half of the jar with drinking water and soak the seeds for 8 hours in summer and 10 hours in winter. After soaking, drain excess water by tilting the jar while holding the lid. Rinse, swirl, and drain again.
- Sprouting process: Shake the jar and place it upside down at an angle with the help of a lid stand to allow drainage and air circulation through the lid. Rinse, swirl, and drain the seeds 2-3 times a day, ensuring they never completely dry out.
- Monitor and maintain: Throughout the sprouting process, continue rinsing, swirling, and draining the seeds to promote proper drainage and air circulation for healthy growth.
- Harvest and store: Once the sprouts are ready for harvest, rinse them thoroughly to remove any unsprouted seeds. Dry them thoroughly using a paper towel or clean cloth, then store in a clean, airtight container. Depending on the type of seeds, they can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.
